Employer Responsibilities

When an employer is notified of an on-the-job injury or illness, it is important to begin the First Report of Injury immediately. Early intervention by a trained claims adjuster is essential to controlling costs. Studies have shown that delays in reporting can have an adverse impact on the cost of a claim. Delayed reporting can subject the employer and State Accident Fund to fines. How quickly a report is made can have a direct impact on your premiums.
